Hey everybody! It's Th7nder, I am not a dev or related to the creation of Baldi's Basics but I saw a bunch of comments saying that they couldn't run the game because of an error. So I'm here to show you how to extract the game correctly and install it.
Step 1. Click on "Download Now" at the top of this website, the game should start downloading. Give it a second to download.
Step 2. Click on "no thanks just take me to the downloads" or if you're generous then support the dev by giving a generous tip.
Step 3. From here click on your pc's version. This should usually be something like "Baldi_Windows.zip" for windows but "Baldi_Mac.zip" for well.. macs
Step 4. Your file should download from here, just wait for it to finish downloading. After it has finished downloading, click on the arrow right next to "zip" pointing up and click on "show in folder"
Step 5. Right click on the folder and click extract to folder, or hover over "Winrar or Winzip, etc." and then click on extract to folder
Step 6. The folder should be extracting now just give it a second, this won't take long. Once it's done open the unextracted folder, this should look different from the first folder with the same name,
Step 7. Now don't mess with the other folders inside, just double click "Baldi" and the game SHOULD run. Make sure all the files are in the same folder, and if you want the baldi logo to be on your desktop then right click it and hover over "send to" and then click "desktop.
